The McLean’s Mountain wind farm is located on Ontario’s Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron.  The island is comprised mostly of rock which required special procedures to install the collection system and properly ground the turbines.  Additionally the project installed 1,100 meters of submarine cable along the lake floor between Manitoulin Island and Goat Island.  During construction H.B. White employed First Nation’s Tradesmen as this project was the first to be built within the UCCMM First Nations’ traditional territory.
