The Blue Canyon wind farm was constructed on a ridge-line with geography primarily made of varying types of rock including 20,000 PSI limestone, rhyolite and granite which required excessive blasting in order to prepare foundation sites.  In addition to the harsh terrain, the project also endured excessive wind days, extreme heat in excess of 100 degrees for over two months and battled rattle snakes on the project site.  Despite all the obstacles the project was finished in 165 days with an exemplary safety record.
